How do we choose our candle?

Before we’re going for a candle brand we have tried and tested several brand and made a decision base strictly on 1. Quality, 2. Presentation, 3. Price

1. Quality

When we choose our candle brand, we want candles that will burn and send out beautiful scent that fill the entire the room and are eco friendly. There’re many different ways to obtain candle wax, below are some of them:

Gel wax: It isn’t wax and is made from mineral oil and a polymer resin.

Soy wax: 100% all-natural, vegan and eco-friendly, holds fragrances really well, it burns slower and cleaner than most waxes.

Palm wax:Produced by hydrogenating palm oils.

Beeswax:100% natural wax, made during the honey making process it’s expensive and not vegan.

Rapeseed wax: An alternative to soy wax but is a bit more expensive.

Coconut wax: Made from hydrogenated and refined coconut oil.

Paraffin wax: Made from a by-product of the oil refining industry it’s an affordable wax but not eco-friendly and burn quicker.

We choose Soy Wax Candle for its characteristic mentioned above for our Candle product line.

2. Presentation

People say your look isn’t important, it’s the personality count. That’s true.

How about we can have good personality and good presentation all in one? I think that would be awesome!

At Darling Buds we want our candle to be at good Quality and Presentation so that our customer can make a gift a great gift for their friend.

3. Price

We’re not always focus on price as price can affect the quality that’s why price is the last in our list. But where possible we still put the price the overall picture. Price should be reasonable.

The candle we choose is Be Enlightened Candles because it fit in all our selecting criteria.

Be Enlightened scented candles are Australian made. Hand poured. Non Toxic soy blends lead free, Cotton Wick. Triple Scented and has no animal testing. It has 80hrs burnt and 400gram.

Hand Poured vs. Mass production manufacturing candle:

Hand poured candle are make in small batch, so small that the candle maker can easily control their quality and consistency and it take longer time to make. Problems like misplacement of the candle wick and inconsistent scent are common in candle manufacturing. Inconsistent scent happens when fragrance oils are added at the wrong temperature and unevenly blend with the wax. This often happens typically with mass production.

What does triple scented candle do?

With triple scented candle, it has 3 wicks burn simultaneously; this will help to produce enough heat to melt the wax evenly across the candle and no more tunnelling. It also efficiently it gives out more scent when you burn. The scent will fill up the room quickly too.

What amazing things a scented candle can do?

Mood setting:

Adding candle around your house can help to feel warm and welcoming. Placing candle in the living room to create a warm and comfortable. In bathroom make you feel like you’re having a luxury lifestyle. On dining table to create a feel of romantic dinner. When you have people coming over, lighting a candle in the kitchen creates atmosphere of warm and welcoming.

Sooth away tension and stress:

Candles are good for setting the mood. Candles can also help to sooth away tensions and stress at the end of the day and make you feel relax.

Relaxation:

Scented candle brings warm, love and enjoyment. The warm flame gives a feeling of comfort, cosiness; just as a warm blanket or coffee serve the morning.

Candles that are suitable for relaxation are Lavender and Mint, Jasmine, Red Rose, Oriental Sandalwood and Vanilla.

Time machine:

Studies show how scents and memories are mysteriously linked to each other. A particular scent will remind us of particular memories in our lives. Isn’t it amazing?
